The research activities currently underway at CNR-IEIIT, IIT and IAM@PoliTo, are focused on the applicability of the Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) technology, also known as Selective Laser Melting (SLM), to development of a next generation of microwave and millimeter-wave devices intended for, among others, satellite telecommunications, navigation, imaging, radio-astronomy, and cosmology. Additive Manufacturing (AM) oriented architectures are investigated to enhance the manufacture quality.
